back on the homeland..i have been taking photos..but still lacking a bit of inspiration i suppose. hopefully i can get around to adding some new photos sometime soon.

so i am back from borneo now..it was a pretty awesome trip actually. the people were amazing..we saw sea turtles nesting and we got to release some babies..i rode a horse on a beach..it was awesome!

so it has been a while since i have posted anything new..

BUT i just got back from a 2 day trip to cambodia..it was so lovely being back there. i was fortunate enough to basically spend most my time with the kids i taught back in january. they are so beautiful. again they just inspire me so much..they make me want to be better. they make me want to DO better.

it was nice to see some changes made to the schools and where they stay..like some newer desks and some new walls put up..but at the same time..they are also suffering these days as so many people are due to the economy..tourism is so low there these days..and in turn it ends up coming back to these kids..they are finding it difficult to provide enough food and supplies not to mention education for these kids without families. and i have also found out after talking to some local friends there that not a lot of the money that volunteers pay to these programs such as the one i was a part of back in january really goes back to the kids. so this was upsetting to hear..sort of the corrupt reality of it all..but at the same time i feel so inspired now to really get involved..and take advantage of the connections that i have there now with some beautiful people. maybe my chance to make some of it right.. or so i hope!

it has also really inspired me to really seriously start considering what i will take when i go back to school..how i could get involved one day with proper organizations and really try to do something..
so we shall see!
